Open Jams at Norman Langford Junior's

I'm no stranger to violence; from manipulative language to physical harm. So, when Norman's baby cousin burst into the garage yelling at the top of his lungs “What time is it!? What time is it!?” I barely flinched. ‘Here we go gain’ I sigh, being no strnager to nioise complaints, as well.

It was 12:45am on a Wednesday morning on a quiet corner in Inglewood. The planes line up overhead as we stand directly under their flight path to LAX. It had gotten a bit later than we realized. We are all very passiuonate musicians and the good ones like to stay until the room is quiet enough to really dig deep into the sonics of the instruments and space.

Norman immediately began trying to disarm his cousin's anger “okay, man, okay..” he says as he walks towards his cousin. Norman is embarrased says “I aint afraid of the big bad wolf” upon his cousins de[parture. Everyone beigns packing up. I'm tired. If i stay too late i get too faded and I'vce alreayd had a few. He come rich saving the day with a cigarette “one of the pleasures of life” he always says. He gets his backup pack and hands me another for the road. Now I'm set.. glad I waited. Rish rolls his own cigarrets with an electric powered mnachine, filters and all! A pack costs him about $2 to make where as I can spend up to $17 at a gas station.

Well tghats klife, and which loops do we want to continue? I've met alot of amazing community at these jams and when you express your truest self it can outshoadwo others' exsistance. I'm not to be bothered and neither is norman and neither is his cousin.. now that is since Norman is moving to the valley. His third honme sionce growing up in LA. Thats not very many homes if you ask me, but he's taking it like a chamop.

He's also recently lost his Girlfiredn and isn't booking shows, hence the jam in liew of rehearsal. Idk whats going on, but I don't really wanna know. I know what I know and thats enough. His lady Crystal was sweet on me and he said once ouytbthe corner of his mouth “oh i see what you're doing here” I wasn;'t having it, although sometimes I do. I can't help it, the ladies always want me top be their homewrecker. And thats a loop I don't want to maintain.

These tuesday night bonfire jams will resume and hgave but I haven't been able to re-attend. seems like theres some good support for Norman and I'm very happ[y for him and his new musician roomates! i'm sure it's been a long time coming.
